Specific requirements?
All our beds are carefully handcrafted in England using the finest materials and traditional techniques, as well as using the latest innovations in sleep technology. All standard size beds are available to view and purchase in store but should you have more individual needs then anything from a single through to an elegant super king size bed can be adjusted to accommodate your own personal requirements.
The beauty of a bespoke mattress or divan bed is that it can tailored to your individual needs both practically and aesthetically. If a standard size bed or mattress is not the correct fit for your home, or for you, then we can customise the length or width to suit.
The depth of the base may also be adjusted according to your taste and needs, whether dictated to by your bedroom’s dimensions or through personal, practical choice. We can order bases that are higher or lower than standard. Storage and non-storage bases, slim bases on legs and bedframes are all variations that are available to view in store and to try out before ordering.
A designated range of divan beds can even have a foot-board added as an extra feature to blend in with your chosen headboard design. This option is particularly suited to small bedrooms not large enough to accommodate a bedframe. The option of deluxe contract quality bases with reinforced sides is also available. These are also ideal for commercial use in hotels and rental properties. All our bases are supplied with feet, glides, castors or shepherds castors.
Our range of adjustable beds add an extra dimension to creating a comfortable sleeping experience. All our adjustable beds are remote controlled and are adjustable in the back, lumbar and feet areas, each of which can be used singularly or in unison. The ability to adjust the height of your bed provides outstanding support and comfort in just the right areas where they are needed. A selection of these beds also have the option of massage units.
The mattress
The mattress is an integral part of the decision making process when purchasing a new bed. Getting the correct mattress for your requirements will safeguard and even prolong the life-span of the mattress, and will provide the essential comfort and support essential fora good night’s sleep which, in turn is so vital to your health and wellbeing.
We have an enormous selection of different mattress types, with comfort layers that include natural fillings such as wool and cotton, memory foam, latex and gel – all pocket sprung- utilising a variety of different combinations and spring counts to provide all levels of comfort and support ratings: from medium soft through to firm
Choosing the correct support and tension is crucial to the whole sleeping experience. Whichever tension you select is at your discretion and should be a choice that will provide you with the utmost comfort and relaxation. Need 2 different tensions? Several of our mattresses have zip and link options so that one side can be a separate tension to the other.
Whether you select memory foam, pocket sprung, latex or coil sprung mattress is also a personal preference. Hybrid versions are also available that incorporates memory foam, latex or geltex on top of sprung units. Several mattresses offer seasonal turn ability so that there is a warm winter side and a cool summer side meaning that you do not have to turn or rotate the mattress as regularly as a standard mattress. These also ensure that your all-important sleeping environment is warmer in winter and cooler during the summer months.
Tencel micro-climate fabrics, natural and chemical free covers plus reinforced sides to prevent roll-off are some of the elements that we’ve introduced so that you can be rest assured that you are purchasing the very latest in sleep technology.
Mattress innovations have advanced immeasurably over the years and there is now so many premium mattresses that can be customized for you and will mould perfectly to your body profile, helping to maintain your natural posture. Many of our suppliers now use locally sourced materials and sustainable components that are traceable back to their source.
Storage options
All of the bespoke beds that we have on display in our showrooms have the option of extra storage, whether you wish to add 2 drawers, 4 drawer or continental drawers. Storage beds are ideal to utilise space in your bedroom and make the most of the floor space available to you. All drawers are commercial quality standard and use reinforced metal runners

Ottoman beds are a great option should you require extra storage, yet are carefully crafted and stylish. This type of storage bed is also compatible with a wide range of mattresses giving you a greater flexibility of choice. A solid, well-built ottoman bed is exceptionally supportive and is easy to lift and close due to the superbly constructed mechanics within the ottoman itself.
Foot-end opening ottomans are a popular choice, however if the dynamics of your bedroom do not allow for the foot-end opening option then you can also opt for a side opening ottoman.
Innovative hideaway beds provide the benefits of a divan base combined with the storage of an ottoman base thanks to the large open storage space within the framework. The bespoke finish adds elegance whilst ensuring effortless access to stored items concealed behind perfectly upholstered valances. These are perfect for storing larger items such as luggage, plus heavy items as the storage is directly on the floor underneath your divan.

We also stock the vast majority of our branded mattresses such as Hypnos, Harrison, Silentnight and Rest Assured- as buying a mattress or new bed can sometimes be a distress purchase.
