Scandi furniture generally uses natural wood finishes in smooth simple designs. Upholstery is clean lined and usually will have exposed legs in a wood finish. Bright splashes of colour can be used against neutral tones and this is often used in the colour of upholstered furniture. Fabrics have a tendency to be a natural choice of wools or cottons. Occasional furniture will be of the same light wooden finish or with white surfaces and have purpose with open wall shelves to display carefully placed, uncluttered accessories. A natural finish in most materials is desired.
