Yesterday marked 38 years since Cousins Furniture opened the doors of their first store in Tyseley, Birmingham on August 17th 1985!
To mark the occasion, each store is hosting a “Back To The ‘80s” event. Taking place until Sunday 20th August, customers can join in the fun in-store to enjoy real 80s nostalgia with music, fashion, food, bubbly and competitions and giveaways from that decade.
The celebrations kicked off yesterday where chairman and founder, Robert, pictured above, cut the cake at the Tyseley store! Also pictured are Robert’s son John, managing director, along with Robert’s wife, Ellen, John’s wife Malin and their son Oliver.
All the staff wore “Choose Cousins” t-shirts, reminiscent of the famous “Choose Life” from the ‘80s, made famous by Wham!
Customers are encouraged to wear fancy dress, where Cousins are giving away gift vouchers to the best dressed!
Plus help raise money for some worthwhile local causes with Cousins in-store raffle! All proceeds will go to charities. Cousins' chosen charities are all local to their stores: Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Severn Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance and Compton Care.
