Cousins Furniture are delighted to share their recent charitable efforts, as the company has been actively involved in supporting both local and national charities over the past couple of months.
Firstly, to celebrate their 38th Anniversary in August, Cousins held a “Back To The 80s” event in their stores, where customers joined in the fun in-store to enjoy real 80s nostalgia with music, fashion, food, bubbly and competitions and giveaways from that decade. There was an in-store raffle that helped to raise money for some worthwhile local causes. Cousins are pleased to announce a total of £800 was raised from the event, with all proceeds evenly divided to 4 charities all local to their stores: Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Severn Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance and Compton Care.
In September, Cousins were proud to take part in the World’s biggest coffee morning on Friday 29th September, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The Macmillan Coffee Morning encourages individuals and organisations to come together over a cup of coffee, tea, or cake, and in the process, raise vital funds to support people living with cancer. Staff at head office came together to hold a coffee morning, wearing green clothing and each person contributing to a buffet along with plenty of cakes! The coffee morning raised a total of £42.18
More recently, Cousins wore it pink to show their support for the charity Breast Cancer Now’s “Wear It Pink” campaign on Friday 20th October! Wear It Pink Day, an annual event celebrated around the world, encourages individuals, organisations, and communities to don shades of pink to demonstrate their commitment to the fight against breast cancer.
Cousins Furniture, known for its commitment to both quality and community involvement, embraced the occasion wholeheartedly. Head office staff wore pink clothing and held a buffet with everyone contributing food and money! There was also a quiz and a sweepstake game! The day raised a total of £54.36!
Cousins Furniture is dedicated to supporting local and national charitable causes and they look forward to continuing support for both local and national charities and are eager to engage in further initiatives that benefit the greater good.
