How will delivery take place?
We are contacting all customers with goods in our warehouses and upon establishing that there’s no-one currently showing any symptoms of Covid-19 or in the “vulnerable” category, we will arrange a convenient delivery day. You can also stipulate whether you want our usual delivery into the room of your choice, or would prefer us to leave your furniture at the front door or in your garage.
Our drivers will then call you on the day of delivery to advise you of your 2 hour time-slot for delivery. They will then call again upon arriving outside your home. We will reconfirm that you are still comfortable with us delivering the furniture and where you’d like it positioning. They will then ask you to open your front door and all other corresponding doors leading into the room of your choice. Enabling us to avoid touching anything in your home.
Our delivery teams will have sanitised their hands just before entering your home and will be wearing a face mask and gloves. We will also ask that you vacate any room that we have to pass through, preferably remaining behind a closed door in your kitchen or outside in the back garden. Our assembly service is also still available.
It’s your choice whether we leave your furniture in its original packaging or that we preferably unwrap it and remove the packaging for recycling.
Our drivers will take a photograph of your open front door and the furniture in its final position. If unwrapped, we will then ask you to inspect your new furniture, once we’re back outside your front door, and to verbally confirm that you are happy with it. The driver will then sign your delivery form. This will not affect your statutory rights if you find a problem with your furniture after the drivers leave.
