Once your delivery date has been confirmed, you can start preparing your old furniture for removal.
Arrange Mattress and Divan Recycling Before Delivery
If you are purchasing a new bed, Cousins Furniture offers a mattress and divan recycling service to help you dispose of your old items at the same time as your new furniture arrives.
Our recycling service allows us to collect:

Prepare Your Old Mattress or Divan Before Delivery
To ensure our delivery team can safely remove your old items, please make sure they are ready before arrival:
- Mattresses must be wrapped, sealed, and ready before the delivery team arrives.
- Divan bases must be separated where applicable by removing connecting links and the headboard.
- Headboards must be removed before the delivery team arrives.
For divan sets, the divan must be separated where applicable, and the mattress must be wrapped, sealed, and ready for collection.
What About Other Furniture?
Unfortunately, Cousins Furniture cannot remove other unwanted furniture items such as:
- Sofas
- Dining tables and chairs
- Wardrobes
- Cabinets
- Other household furniture
