If you purchase furniture from Cousins you have plenty of options to help collect or recycle your old furniture. There is the British Heart Foundation, who can collect and sell your old furniture in one of their 700+ charity shops. With Clearabee, they will collect your old furniture and help it to find a new home. You can also arrange a special collection with your local council. Our delivery team can collect your old mattress, divan base, and headboard when delivering your new bed, provided the recycling service has been added to your order.

What Items Can Cousins Collect?
Our recycling service covers:
- Single, double, king, and super king mattresses
- Divan bases
- Headboards
- Complete divan sets
Please ensure all items are prepared correctly before delivery:
- Mattresses must be wrapped, sealed, and ready before the delivery team arrives.
- Divan bases must be separated where applicable by removing connecting links and the headboard.
- Headboards must be removed before the delivery team arrives.
Items that are not prepared correctly may not be able to be removed during delivery.
Who Collects Other Types of Furniture?
Unfortunately, Cousins Furniture is unable to collect other unwanted furniture items, including:
- Sofas
- Dining tables and chairs
- Wardrobes
- Cabinets
- Other household furniture
